Books selected for the Braille Tails project are transcribed and checked for accuracy by certified Braille transcribers. The transcribed text is entered into a computer and formatted to resemble the printed text as closely as possible.

This Braille embossing machine can produce up to 1600 pages per hour.

The clear Braille labels provide accessibility to the blind reader, while allowing the book text and illustrations to remain visible for sighted readers.
